Our Story Rumors Coffee and Tea House is a cozy coffee shop in the heart of downtown Crested Butte. The owners Arvin Ram and Danica Ayraud started with the idea of creating a place on Elk Ave. to meet, sit, work or read and enjoy a tasty beverage or pastry. We opened on June 13th 2009. The owners then added Townie Books to their vision in June 2011. The two businesses now share an atmosphere of comfort and convenience. Since the opening we have hosted many events for the community and the arts. Every month we feature a local up and coming artist and hold an opening on the first Friday of the month. We also hold poetry readings and have live music on the weekends. And we are Open Late!!
